Why can't I have conversations about race in...
- Because I still worry about everyone’s fucking fee fees except my own.
- Because white people like to pretend they are more “logical” when they are arguing from a position that centralizes their cultural perspective.
- Because I don’t remember every statistic, quote and/or article so people can ignore me.
- Because if my every statistic, quote and/or article...

If you don’t consider yourself Black or a member of a diaspora why the fuck are you in this conversation?
Especially if you want to use broad terms about folks wanting to be in something just cause they want to but not address any of that other stuff that’s kind of germane to the convo?

I let Penny Wiggles (a.k.a. The Incredible Derp Dpg) out into the yard to go potty. After her business is complete and she finishes checking her pee-mail from every other dog in the neighborhood, I like to run her around for some exercise.

Jaki Update
When this year began, I wasn’t sure if I would still be in my relationship.
Fast forward and I’m living 24/7 with my two partners, three cats and a puppy. Things have definitely changed. It’s not a bad change. But it’s a change nonetheless and I’m starting to get dizzy.
And now I have a brainworm. The beginning of an amazing story is eating the contents of my skull....

I love it when feminists show their true colors.
Me: Feminism is racist, classist, sexist, hetereosexist, cisssexist, and racist, and that's why we don't need it.
Feminists: IDEAL FEMINISM IS LIKE THIS--
Me: But I wasn't talking about the ideals of feminism--
Feminists: BUT ACTUAL FEMINISM MEANS--
Me: Feminism in reality is relevant here, not whatever you consider "actual feminism"--
Feminists: YOU DON'T KNOW FEMINISM--
Me: I do, that's why I'm not joining it.
Feminists: NOT ALL FEMINISTS ARE LIKE THAT--
Me: Well, considering that you felt defensive about it, then you certainly are--
Feminists: JUST MAKE YOUR OWN FEMINISM!
Me: But I'd rather be a part of movements that already exist, like anti-racism, and not be a feminist, because that word physically disgusts me--
Feminists: YOU MUST BE FEMINIST, I COMMAND YOU--
Me: Uh, no, and also that sounds kind of violent and abusive--
Feminists: BUT WE MUST WORK TOGETHER--
Me: We?--

I don’t listen to the Beastie Boys honestly. But it is too ridiculous that some white guy who made “hip-hop” died and everybody is coming out of the wood works acting like he was the only good thing about a genre of music made for black people by black people.

I’mma go on my mini rant. Excuse me er’body.
I went to an expensive private school so I could get one of the best educations for writers in the country. The main things my degree gave me were:
1) Access to other writers of different skill levels
2) Reading lists
3) Practice meeting deadlines
4) Limited networking abilities.

1. Start spending time with the right people. – These are the people you enjoy, who love and appreciate you, and who encourage you to improve in healthy and exciting ways.
